Marci Haines...the Legend

So this month is my Sister's 39th Bday...To celebrate I've decided to do a top ten list of my sister's greatness (I love having a blog..giggle)
#10 She has an amazing little sister
#9 She's a Hot Mama
#8 She's one of the most forgiving people I know
#7 She always puts her family first (way before herself)
#6 She's a giver
#5 Her little sister rocks
#4 She is alway willing to learn and better herself
#3 She is a Awesome Wife and Mother
#2 She can totally laugh at herself (we call these times "Marci Moments")
#1 She has the ability to love others that I stand in awe of.
So Happy Birthday to my Big Sister (only by 18 months, but I like to point out that she IS older) You're my hero!!!!

It's been 15 years!!

We've been married for 15 years..My hubbie and my boys decided to create a restaurant in our dinning room. The boys loved it and were great waiters...so good in fact that we had to tell them to leave us alone...giggle..It was so much fun that I told them I expect this every year now.
first course was shrimp coctail, second was bread and salad then came shrimp alfedo and lava cake. Really good!!
Our overly attentive waiters.
Showing off their tips.

Christmas break 2009

This last couple days of Christmas break we spent with my Sister's family in Phoenix. My 8 year old niece was baptized on the 2nd. It was a fast trip but we really enjoyed being with family.

This year we had to put our dog Elmo down. It was a hard thing to do, so for this years Christmas ornament Rob and I found dogs ornaments that looked like Elmo. We thought this was a great way to remember Elmo until Brady justs starts sobbing and wouldn't stop. So of course I start crying because Brady is so sad and it was a long night. Apparently it's still a little too fresh to talk about.
the first week of Christmas Vacay Robert had off. We headed north to visit his G-parents in Antioch, Ca and stopped by the Jelly Belly factory on the way home. Great deal. The 45 min. tour is free and comes with a hat and bag of Jelly Bellys. It was like being on the TV show 'Unwapped'. Lots of fun.
Not much better then pre-made gingerbread. Got to love it.

Brady and Nate during the Race.
The kids playing the spinning game. It landed right in the middle of Heather and Brady so they both won.
I think Nate and Syd have something going on.
Heather, Chunky and Kacey
Brady winning the numbers game. This kid is so lucky. out of 4 games played he won 2 of them.

Youth Temple trip

We left Bako about 5:30 Saturday moring so we could make the 7:30 session. It was really early but a wonderful trip. This was Britton's first time, so Rob and I were happy we could be there.

We love our Young Women. They are smart, beautiful and have strong testimonies. I am grateful to be a small part of their lives.

Looking toward their futures!
After the temple we took the girls over to the Santa Monica pier. It's only about 15 mins from the temple.(just a little break before we drove home) Some of them had never been there.

This is one of my favorite things on the pier. Best deal too. Kids 3 to 15 ride for 5o cents and adults are a dollar. Can't beat that in LA anywhere!

This is Emily riding the merry go round with her buddy Dennis Quaid and his twins.

Brady's Birthday Dinner

Our little Brady is nine. It's hard to believe. We went to Dinner for his Bday. He always picks 'Rice and Beans'. Strange we know!

The waiters sang to Brady. This is Not his favorite part. In fact he asked us not to tell them it was his Bday, but Chunky spilled the beans.

Two down one to go....

I use to wonder why the Moms received a pin whenever their boys achieved their Wolf and Bear. I wonder no more!

I've been gone way too long....

It's been a very long month. I misplaced my camara cord so I haven't been able to post anything. I'm Back!

Costume Graveyard 2009

This year we added a Chunky candy bar costume and a storm trooper.

Halloween

Britton was one of the Men in Black, Chunky was a Knight in shinning armor and Brady was Manny from the Dodgers. By the way we DONT like Manny. We did it as a joke.

Weird!

So Chunky's new favorite show is Dragon tails. He loves it and sings the opening song at the top of his lungs whenever it comes on. One day we were in the dollar store and came across this book...We have no idea why it says CHUNKY on the front cover? so it was a sign and HAD to come home with us.

Brady had a accident!

playing Dodgeball in the street is not the best idea! These lens were only 3 months old. Let's just say I'm all for natural consequences but not when it cost me $75 bucks!
